Power factor meter
Product Overview
1.1 Measuring Range
1.1.1 Digital Active Power Meter
The meter supports a wide, scalable measurement range to accommodate low, medium, and high-power system loads, with seamless unit switching between watts (W), kilowatts (kW), and megawatts (MW):
● Measurement Range: 0 ~ 9999 W ~ 9999 kW ~ 9999 MW
● This broad range enables precise monitoring of small-scale loads (e.g., control circuits, lighting systems), industrial machinery (e.g., motors, compressors), and large-scale power generation/transmission systems (e.g., generators, substations).
1.1.2 Digital Reactive Power Meter
Designed to measure reactive power (the power stored and released by inductive/capacitive components in the system), the meter features a scalable range with unit switching between vars (Var), kilovars (kVar), and megavars (MVar):
● Measurement Range: 0 ~ 9999 Var ~ 9999 kVar ~ 9999 MVar
● Critical for applications such as power factor correction, load balancing, and grid stability monitoring, where reactive power management is essential to minimize energy waste and equipment stress.
1.1.3 Digital Power Factor Meter
The meter provides high-resolution power factor measurement across the full spectrum of capacitive, unity, and inductive load conditions, with clear differentiation between capacitive (C) and inductive (L) power factors:
● Measurement Range: 0.000 C ~ 0.500 C ~ 1.000 (unity) ~ 0.500 L ~ 0.000 L
oCapacitive Range (0.000 C ~ 1.000): Applies to loads that supply reactive power to the grid (e.g., capacitor banks, over-excited synchronous motors).
oUnity Point (1.000): Represents ideal load conditions where voltage and current are perfectly in phase, minimizing reactive power loss.
oInductive Range (1.000 ~ 0.000 L): Applies to loads that draw reactive power from the grid (e.g., induction motors, transformers, fluorescent lighting).
● The 0.001 resolution ensures precise monitoring of subtle power factor changes, supporting targeted power factor correction strategies.
1.2 Accuracy Rating
All meters are calibrated to strict accuracy standards, ensuring reliable, traceable measurements even under varying load and environmental conditions:
1.Digital Active Power Meter: ±0.5% Full Scale (FS) ± 1 digit
oThe ±0.5% FS tolerance ensures high accuracy across the entire measurement range, while the ±1 digit error accounts for minor digital display quantization effects.
2.Digital Reactive Power Meter: ±1.0% Full Scale (FS) ± 1 digit
oOptimized for reactive power measurement, with a balance of accuracy and cost-effectiveness for standard industrial monitoring applications.
3.Digital Power Factor Meter: ±0.01
Delivers precise power factor readings with a maximum error of 0.01, critical for verifying compliance with utility power factor regulations and optimizing energy efficiency.
